Support Service . . . .
. . .offers free confidential help from trained volunteers to those who cannot come to terms with their bereavement. It is available to all those who live in the Barnsley district.
Please see here for a statement of the service that we provide and our response to the Corona Virus.
Coming to terms with the death of a loved one can be the most difficult emotional challenge we will ever have to face. No one has to face it alone.
Not knowing what to expect or whether or not your feelings are normal can cause you added anxiety.
It may be that those around you feel uncomfortable talking about your loss - perhaps they are in pain too. It might help to speak to someone who is not directly involved with your bereavement.
This service offers you a 'safe space' where you can cry without upsetting those close to you and where you can talk about the way you really feel in complete confidence.
